HOW DO WE CREATE A KITCHEN BAR COUNTER AND RECEPTION DESKS IN CORIAN® SOLID SURFACE

When we talk about counters and desks in Corian®, we generally intend a wood or steel substructure finished in Corian®, or a self-supporting counter. The following section will take you step-by-step through the construction of the tasting room counter we created for Schenk Italia and a large three-dimensional self-supporting thermoformed reception desk in Corian® for office room.

1. Design and creat the plywood or steel substructure, if the counter is large we must add the steel to support its weight.

2. Completion of the plywood substructure; the openings are for the insertion of the sink bowls.

3. Application of heated Corian, which perfectly adapts to the form of the plywood substructure, and then glue the Corian on the frame

4. Previously fabricated elements are glued into the correct position in loco and bonded together using Corian glue. Professional workers polish the surface with 6 times.

5. Sanding creates a perfectly smooth surface that is soft to the touch.
